Guest guest
Hi Kelli! I won't lie to you, the casting is NOT fun!!! But it is over quickly, and then your baby can enjoy a nice bath!!! Be sure to take pictures, even though it seems awful to take pictures when they are so hysterical (my son was, anyway!), it is something that I think you and your child will want to remember in the years to come! Not pleasant, but certainly memorable!!!! TRY not to worry... take care and stay in touch!!! - Evan's mom DOC grad 06/01 -- In Plagiocephaly@y..., " Kelli " <kelmi_4@y...> wrote: > OMG, it seems like months instead of days waiting for the Insurance to > respond. Guest guest
Kelli: Yes, the casting is aweful, there's no other word to describe it. I felt SO guilty with Abby, especially her 2nd one becuz I knew more what was to come. I cried a whole week ahead of time. Her 1st cast for the STARband the orthotist messed it up (should've been a sign of things to come!) and had to start it all over again, so it took like 30 mins!!!! My poor baby. BUT, let me reassure you, your baby will quickly recover & forget about it. It'll be a heck of a lot harder on you!!! And 10 yrs from now, Em will thank you! As for insurance, hang in there. Hopefully you'll get that approval letter in no time!!!! Good luck.
