Guest guest
Hi, all! I am coming up on my 6 month post-op doctor's appt and am wondering what tests I need to have done. I checked the patient manual and the follow-up documentation, but was only able to find the list for the 1 year follow-up tests, which I posted below: Vitamin B-12 level, Folate level, Calcium/Magnesium/Phosphorus levels, Total Protein/Albumin, Iron/TIBC, Ferritin, Transferrin, CBC (Complete Blood Count) Hemoglobin and Hematocrit, Chem. 7 (Electrolytes and Glucose), Liver Panel: SGOT/SGPT Alk Phos, T/D Bilirubin, Cholesterol Triglyceride Level, Serum immunoreactive parathyroid hormone Hemoglobin A1c level, Vitamin E and A levels, Pyridoxal phosphate (Vitamin B-6) level, DHEA-s, Zinc. Can anyone let me know what we need for the 6 month follow-up? Thanks, Suz in Tx

Guest guest
I understood that the same tests should be done so that you can compare apples to apples. From my personal experience, I'd pay special attention to the Vit. D. That's been the one thing I'm deficient in post-op. Doesn't seem to make me feel bad, but it does affect your thyroid and calcium levels too. :-) Kathy in VA 7/6/06 297/154 -------------- Original message -------------- From: " mgbheaven2007 " <mgbheaven2007@...> Hi, all!
