Dear Mandy

I often wonder how you

and _____ and ______ and _______ – how you all seem to keep your homes so

neat and tidy, and clutter-free.

Can you help me with

this?

I had once asked you

to help clear up a room in our house in Montreal…and

it didn’t take long when you were there….you just did it in a

jiffy! How did you do it? It was a MIRACLE, no less!!!!

I have an office now

which is a room which has everything spread out all over the floor. All

the junk that doesn’t belong in the other rooms of the house has

accumulated there.

And I’d like to

get my office back!!!!!!

Any ideas, any tips?

Love,

Dayu

Hi Dayu,

This is a much easier task than managing . I think for me

everything has to have its own place. If you could go to “Hold Everything”

or Container Store and buy files or boxes for different subjects and then buy a

labeler to label them, I think you will be quite organized.

These days, there are so many things to

organize you better than I am.

It is also how we

think………for me it drives me nuts to have things in the wrong

places. When I was in India

this time, _____ explained that our brains work differently……some

of us are more aware of the environment around us……..she can really

explain better.

You have other talents like dealing with

kids……..I really think it is such an art. I have tried many times

to apply it but have a very difficult time.

Why don’t you work with

kids……………you are clearly extremely talented at

it. If I could only do 10% of it, I would be happy… is constantly giving me lectures on how

to be a better parent.

I know how you

feel….when something is kept somewhere…then that’s where I

expect it to be…..even if it is in a pile of cluttered papers…at

least I know where it is…..and when Mark “tidies it up” I can

no longer find it, and I go nuts too!!!!

I’m going out

now….

Will respond

later…

Dear Mandy

I will go to the store

and buy some containers and take it from there.

I think the clean-up

of papers is as difficult for me as parenting is for you….I just wish you

could be here one day, and then I know it would all get done in two hours!!!

Thanks for the

suggestions.

Well, if you start

with the S.T.E.P. program, then take it from there… you may want to learn

some other methods afterwards… if you are open to more ideas, as time

goes on…I’ll be happy to suggest something that is easy and

simple…

I guess we all have to

take baby steps…and see what works for our “brain-type” and

personality type!

Love,

Dayu
