Hello all,

I haven't posted in a few weeks but I thought it was time since I have

a question. I am happy to report I am down 22 lbs and overall I feel

great. I can't believe my MGB was only 3 weeks ago. I did have a rough

start the first week, I unfortunately didn't have all peaches and cream

like some people report right after MGB but it's all good now. I would

like some feedback though. I wake up each morning feeling completely

nauseated and have a stomach ache. I can't even smell food or think of

eating or drinking anything. By mid day it's gone and I seem to feel

better once I eat something. Did anybody else experience this? What did

you do? Let me also tell you that I have never been a morning eater. I

don't know if that is a factor or not but I thought I would through it

out there. I also have been getting a head ache almost daily, but this

could be because I am nauseated and not eating in the morning? What are

your thoughts?

Thanks

Cathi

Cathi,

I have two suggestions you could try. If you aren't using the Climera

patch, maybe you should try it. Your problem sounds almost like " morning

sickness. " In pregnancy this is caused by hormone imbalance. Since we lose

estrogen

along with the weight loss, using the Climera patch might help to put your

hormones back in balance and give you some relief.

The second suggestion is to put a few Saltine crackers on your night stand

before you go to sleep. If you feel queasy in the morning, try slowly

nibbling on the Saltines. The OBs often suggest this for women who wake up with

morning sickness. And the extra salt first thing in the morning is good for

us.
