Meatoplasty - for Dr. Gupta and/or Dr. Wareing

Hello,

Just wanting an opinion. When doing a meatoplasty after a cwd radical

mastoidectomy, how big do you make the canal? This is regarding my husband.

His ent would like to widen the canal as he is getting fungal infections on a

regular basis. He has hearing aides in both ears but it is his left that gives

him issues. He also said something about a ridge needing some revision.

Anyways, we are going to Portland to see our Doctor (Dr. O. McMenomey at

OHSU) in a few weeks for his opinion but I was just wondering what you might

think.
