Guest guest Posted January 20, 2006 Report Share Posted January 20, 2006 I really recommend for any one having the lap band to take a week off for your body to rest from the surgery, because I did not. I had the surgery on Jan 5th and came back to work on the 9th. Well by Wednesday, I was dragging and feeling very week and sick. I had to take the rest of the week off to recuperate. Now I am back and feeling much better. Now I am on my third week and added the protein shakes and yogurt. I had to look all over for the CIB (Carnation Instant Breakfast) and found it in Albertson's. I really recommend the sugar free; less calories and no sugar and taste delicious. I went to my doctor last week on Thursday (that was a week after the surgery) and I have lost 12 lbs. I am sure I lost more but I do not want to go to a different scale. I'll just wait for my next doc's appointment on the 30th and will see.
