Guest guest
haha my nephew and his friends in college, have these secret words for things, i guess not to be caught talking about someone or just for fun(?). and wherever he and his male peers spot a super pretty girl, or what they considered such, they say, now, there's a unicorn. hehe but they dont say it to her face and they respect her privacy by not taking her pic, i hope so. i guess, i can turn it around for me and just like the 'super pretty' as they would say are also rare, i must be super pretty too, or why is my pic being taken? it just seems in digital age, a few have lost all gaul or compunction and they feel it has given them a right to memorialize our faces in bytes forever, without ever asking or even thinking to ask. but, perhaps, these goofy goons of the pixel age have always existed, it's just that these times have made it easier for them to do such. i wonder tho, if u took a pic of them back or one of their kids, i dont think they would like it. but them being dumb would probably excuse themselves for taking one of us by saying, we're rare or something... go figure. we'd still be wrong for complaining. ~grady > > Well, maybe a unicorn, Grady. LOL! Just kidding! I feel the same way. As a family of four, we get a lot of attention in public. Only some moments bother me, but most do not. But it's those brief moments of someone holding their camera phone, you gotta wonder. . . . did they just take my picture? > > I've tried to scan YouTube for videos of us too. No luck. How do you do the search? " Angry dwarf chasing me down " ? " Look what I found " ? " Midget going shopping " ? In this day and age of technology, it's not so original, as people may think they are. Finding an LP is as common as a 1 in 10,000 chance. > > Now, finding this unicorn I found the other day was worth a picture or video. We were eating at a Japanese restaurant the other day. I hear this tiny, squeaky voice from the other booth. I figure, I've gotta see this, she might be an LP. Nope! This adult woman had a voice like Dot from Animaniacs, wore cut-off jeans up to her butt (in 48 degree weather), a mens dress shirt, eyeglass frames with no lenses, and her hair in pigtails with big ribbons. Now, I couldn't help but stare and think " where is my camera? " I mean, where else in the 50 mile radius are you going to find a person that looks like that? Whereas, you'll probably run into an LP within 10 mile radius of the 6th largest city in the US. > > Annoying cameraphones . . . but, I tell you. I have chased some schmuck for taking our picture and confronted him in a crowd. Only to get the response: " I don't know what you mean, I took a picture of the city, not you. " > > Yeah, dork. The city is easily recognizable taken shooting downward. > > ;P > > -Ellen >
