Hello all, thought I would poke my nose into a couple of topics going

one. First, sorry Kathy, I have lost 152 lbs, but I am still 185.

Not the other way around.

Next, for a drinks, I drink lemon propel everyday. I take a packet

of lemon propel and add it to the lemon drink. When I was trying to

choke down gatorade, I added crystal light mix to it and it made it

better. The propel does not have the electrolytes, but I add a

squirt of elete drops to it to compensate. I still don't like sugar

drinks, I never have. Luckily I have lost my taste for soda. I was

a fiend for it.

I know there has been a lot of debate about weight gain lately. Dr.

R tells us that our systems become more efficient as time goes on.

What we could eat earlier in our surgeries, sticks around a bit more

with time. I am studying for a personal training certificate and the

book reminds me that our weight gain is due to the equation of

calories in/calories out. There are many factors that influence that

equation though. When I started counting my calories with an online

site, I was amazed that I was eating over 3k calories. I thought I

wasn't eating enough, not so when I tallied it up. I cut down a bit

and was able to drop a few more stubborn pounds. I still want to

lose 35 more lbs.

I am meeting with an endocrinologist soon hopefully help with some of

my food issues. I still can't tolerate sugar or flour very well.

While I am somewhat ok with it, I want to get pregnant and wonder how

the hypoglycemia will effect me and baby. Plus I want to meet with

a nutritionist, but I feel they won't understand how the MGB effects

my metabolism. I wish more people in general understood our issues...

I am still healing from my foot injury. I have an extra bone in my

foot--yippee. It only brings trouble. I still can't run, but am

aggressivly gardening on every sunny day. Things are good in spring

time.

Hi -- would you share the online calorie counting site you use? Sounds

intriguing, and a lot more efficient than my thumbing through my ancient

calorie/carbohydrate numbers book.

Hey Kathy...

I don't know which one used but I have used

www.sparkspeople.com. It is an awesome website that is a community

of people losing weight, diet plans, calorie counters (sodium

counters and etc.). It is all free which makes it even better!
