Hi all

I'm coordinating the First-Timers reception at the LPA conference.

Thinking back to your first conference, if there's one thing you wish someone

had told you or you had known at the beginning of the week, what is it?

I am going to attempt to set up an informal support dynamic so folks can get to

know each other with a few veterans facilitating, so folks go into the week

knowing a few people, people they can connect with or check in with later in the

week, for some kind of follow up, and hopefully we can avoid some of the

isolation/overwhelmed/left out/unmet expectations thing.

(Please just throw helpful hints for newbies at me, I'm not asking for 50 ways

we can improve LPA or LPA conferences ... I'm retired from that gig...)
