Guest guest
Hi , go to http://www.cranialtech.com/about/index.html and look at the physicians list and choose one of them on the list. They will give you the scrip if needed to get a Doc band. Our Ins payed for my daughters 100% but not everybody is that lucky. If you want to do the Insurance route it is usually covered under durable medical equipment. You need to look into this asap because the quicker you start treatment the quicker you get results. The babies head does the most growing before their one and that is when you will get the quickest correction. Good luck lorraine.Fl. > I would like to know if there is anyone with advice on how I can go > about getting help with my sons head. Guest guest
: Hi & welcome to our group!!! You've come to the right place to get help for your son's plagio.. I would suggest maybe switching pediatricians if your current dr. isn't taking your concerns seriously. Or ask your current ped. to refer your son to a pediatric neurosurgeon, ped. neuro's are usually who most peds. refer plagio babies to. They might also suggest xrays or a CT scan to rule out craniosynostosis (premature fusion of skull bones). Your son is at a great age to begin any type of helmet therapy if that's the road you wish to take. The younger the better & faster the improvement will be, as he is growing at such a fast rate right now. Until then, keep up your repositioning. You are a very good mom to find all this information on your own, seems how your ped. isn't being of any help. Keep it up!
