Guest guest
I'm waiting to find out if they can have the infection down by Tuesday in order to have my second surgery. I had a modified radical mastoidectomy 5 years ago. Now he's saying that he might not have been able to get to the cholesteatoma in that first operation. So he has to go back to get it. He's saying he might have to cut the bone in the middle ear to get to it. Does that mean that I'll essentially be deaf in that ear. I have a hard time talking with my doctor and understanding what he's saying. He said something about using some type of bone amplifier so that I would be able to hear. Really didn't understand what he meant. Any insight is appreciated. Gerry
