Guest guest
Tammy, I'm glad to hear that Camden's treatment is finished!! Wow - what a relief that must be. It sounds like you are happy with the results and feel that it was worth the time and effort - that is good news. Thanks for the positive input about the group. I agree that this is indeed a very special group of people - they were my saving grace when we were going through diagnosis, treatment and the insurance battle. Thanks for offering your assistance to future Kansans (is that the right word??) and again - congrats to Camden, to you and to your family. Guest guest
I cannot thank all of you enough for all the information and support that got me through my son's reshaping therapy. My son, Camden, finally graduated from his STARband helmet. We were the first in our area and first STARband patient in the ortho clinic. I knew nothing about plagiocephaly or helmets and thankfully I found the CAPPS Kids web site. This web site and support group is virtually the only information I found and boy you guys came through! My son's condition was mild - he wore his helmet for 3 and a half months. - albeit a long 14 weeks. Everything turned out fine. Funny how things fall into place. There just happened to be a cranioplastic surgeon that just moved to town - he specializes in helmet therapy . We consulted with him and he said we were done with treatment. If anyone ever needs information about our experience with the STARband or doctors or orthotists in the Wichita, KS area. Please don't hesitate to e-mail me. Again, you guys were my saving grace. You're doing a lot of people good! Keep up the good work. I have printed off the web's home page and taken to my orthotist and my peditrician's office for them to disperse to futher patients. No one can go without this wonderful resource. With sincere thanks, Tammy
