Snow plowing/apartment issues

Hello all,

 

So need advice. I love my apartment, one story, look like little houses, private

entrances, can reach the lock, great rent, its awesome. Problem though, well

two, first is that I live in Wisconsin, but my second is that we have plowing

issues.  Due to the lovely blizzards and facing the field, my apartment gets

drifts up to the door where I can't even open to leave the sidewalk from my

apartment down the parking lot gets covered by a foot of snow. I am on a list of

four or five people that get special plowing priority, however today for

example, it is 10:33 and they haven't plowed yet by me.  Luckily I had off

today, but if I had to go in this morning, basically I'd be S.O.L. 

 

The thing is that by me they wait until everything is over before they plow. It

stunk because I couldn't go out yesterday to something I had planned because I

couldn't get to my car.  On Friday there was a horrible blizzard and my 72 year

old grandpa had to drive an hour to dig me out, then it turned out work was

cancelled.

 

My problem is that I can't keep calling into work saying I'm going to be 2 to 3

hrs late because they haven't shoveled by me yet. It just makes me mad, why the

heck couldn't they start shoveling at 6am? Do they not realize people have to

work???

 

I have no idea what I can say or do, they said I'm on a list, but I don't care

if I'm on a list when at 1030am on a monday I still can't get to my car? My work

doesn't care about a list, they care if I'm dependable or not.

 

Anyone have thoughts??
