Who said that the relationship between heavy metals and iodine is off topic??? It is asserted (by Abraham and Brownstein) that iodine supplementation results in detox from mercury and lead. I would love to see someone explore that assertion.

How effective is iodine in mercury detox? How does iodine compare with other methods of detox? What is the mechanism of the iodine detox of heavy metals?

Many, many things have a relationship with iodine. It is totally appropriate to explore that relationship here.

I think what people were objecting to is posts that were not tying in the discussion with the topic of iodine.

Health discussions that do not show how that topic relates to iodine would be OT.
