Had surgery on 8/2/11 how long is recovery?

I had a ctoma cat scan did not show how advanced it was.The surgery was 4 hours

and I has a prosthetic bone implanted. I was just wondering how long until I

feel better? I have this constant pulsating in my left year and I feel out of

it. I have had quite a few surgeries of other types and I have never been in so

much pain. When I eat there is no taste on my left side of my mouth it also

seems hard for me to open my mouth on the left side. I have been out of work

for since the surgery. The doctor originally told me one week out of work but

since I was still in such pain he said it is up to me. I just was wondering if

anyone can tell me how long to expect? Thanks so much. This surgery was much

more than what I expected.
