Hi all

recap: left ear c/toma operated on 2 yrs ago and had a tympanoplasty

right ear: suctioned in due to failing eustacian tube

I have had ongoing sore throat and intermittent swelling of my throat for the

last 5 months. Pain has been around adams apple, base of the throat and in a

line up to my right ear. Glands are not swollen. I have a tickly cough which

goes with all of this too.

I do believe silent reflux has something to do with this for sure.

Also, if I stand up suddenly, say in the night I get a real pounding in my head

and very loud tinnitus in my right ear until my blood pressure?? equals out.

I am finding it nearly impossible to clear my left ear and wonder if I am

perforating it by blowing too hard

The throat thing is really getting me down and no one here seems to be moving

very fast.

Anyone similar ?? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Is this a complication of

c/toma?

Also should I have a CT scan or an MRI - any views?
