LPA Rooms sold out/selling out

OK, just tried to make reservations for the upcoming LPA convention. They

are practically out of double/queen rooms.

Tried to reserve Thursday June 30th on, but June 30 was sold out (the

weekend was available, sold out from 7/6 on.)

Then, in the middle of my reservation, Monday July 4th sold out!! (no, the

system did not hold it while I was inputting my credit card).

What I do not understand is that the main, most wanted dates are pretty much

available (except Monday), while other days are not!?!?

Called directly, supposedly made reservations for queen beds. Checked my

confirmation email right away, they gave me a king. Called back, no queens

available, too bad.

Sorry, I'm not too pleased right now, too much conflicting information!

By the way, neither of the Hyatt people asked for my conference registration

code.could this be a reason that rooms went so fast? Were people able to get

around pre-registering with LPA?
