Guest guest
Hi Moses: Regarding the BWP: I think I hear a bit better with it than with the 3G and sometimes it's important to me to hear as much as I possibly can so I use it for work: 3G at home. Guest guest
Wow - your big day is tomorrow? Now it seems like that went by pretty quickly. Yes, changes can be made as long as they don't open the packaging for the BWP. The BWP can be returned for another 3G and hopefully, your center has a loaner you can use for the activation. It sounds as if your center ordered the BWP but there could also be a 3G waiting there for you. Many centers do prefer to do the activation with a BWP because it gives you more options with the mappings. Let us know what happens. Good Luck with the activation tomorrow. Guest guest
Moses - this is a personal choice. I have both. I think men seem to be able to wear the BWP better than women because it usually doesn't get in the way of personal needs. If you don't mind the wires, you'll have more program options with the BWP but after a while.. we all seem to find one program we prefer and we stick to it. You have more ability to personally change the sound with the BWP. Why don't you discuss this with the audiologist tomorrow before it is opened? You may get the best advice there. Guest guest
Moses, Best wishes for a happy hook up day!!!!! Remember, if you don't like what you are hearing or how you are hearing, it usually does get better with time and more mappings. Good luck to you! Patti Surgery Day 11/25/02 (What A Day!) Guest guest
I wonder if you're picking up some radio station interference - possibly the long cord between the BWP and the implant connector acting as an antenna? Does the radio station go away if you switch off, or remove the magnet connector? New Zealand N24 installed 16/11/04 Hookup 13/12/04 Re: Re: Moses' hookup ,thank you. Guest guest
WAY TO GO MOSES!!! Either turn down the radio or turn down your processor. If things are too loud then ask for a softer map; however, you will see that your tolerance for loud sounds grows everyday.
Guest guest
My wife and I spent the weekend out of town. The weather was not the best. Retracing our steps,I had my hookup on Dec.2nd. Tha audi installed 3 programs in a 2 hour visit. The first 2 programs were useless, the third was GREAT!! IT WAS FANTASTIC!!! In the past my HA's(each and every one) had never, never given me anything that close to my CI.I assume that I got the Nucleus 24C, but I do not see anything that says so.Last night I used a headphone to listen to TV, and it was incredibily clear!!!My son called, and I was able to hear his voice on my wife's cell phone!! Yes, yes, I hear ALL THE LITTLE NOISES!!!!!! The BWP does not really bother me, however I might want to get 2 G3's. The hook over the ear is not the most comfortable.I still get the radio station which probably comes on the cord(acting as antenna) from BWP to ear piece. Guest guest
I forgot to mention that on the Program 3, the volume is 1, Sensitivity is 8, however I can hear well from 8 all the way to 1. Moses
