Hello ,

I am sorry that I can't recommend a good traveling alarm except refer you to

few following sites:

Communications:

http://www.harriscomm.com/catalog/default.php?webstore=main

(plenty of items to choose)

Comfort House:

http://www.comforthouse.com/index.html

(vibrating watches)

Sound Clarity:

http://www.soundclarity.com/default.asp

(plenty of items to choose)

I'm sure that you can google and find an appropriate item ideal for your

needs.

PS: I got a funny story to share! You know that many new items designed for

Deaf and Hard of Hearing people don't last long. I have a very old black

box-shaped clock that have an outlet in the back. I wasn't willing to buy

another vibrating piece to plug to the clock, so I went to the Lowe's store and

bought a power tool--sand/polisher. I plugged it up and put the tool underneath

the mattress. I was satisfied with its performance! :-)

than a wallet and the darn thing could barely wiggle under my

pillow ... I slept through it many times.

Anyways, I'm leaving for a business trip in a few days and need to

purchase a good travel vibrating alarm clock that works well - I'd

appreciate your input.

Thanks in advance,

Hi ,

Have you ever seen the Shake Awake Travel Alarm? The picture at right and here

is the description of it:

SHAKE AWAKE TRAVEL ALARM CLOCK

a.. Audio alarm uses an extra loud pulsating signal

b.. Alarm clock shakes you awake with a pulsating vibration

c.. Clips in place under the pillow or in the pillow case

d.. Large time display with a LED back light for nighttime viewing

e.. Compact size 9 cm x 6.5 cm x 3 cm (approximately 3 x 2.5 x 1 inches)

f.. Operates on one AAA battery (included) and two AA batteries (not included)

g.. One year limited warranty

I got one from the hearing centre where I got my Hearing Aid (Winnipeg,

Manitoba). Perhaps you can find one where you live.

Believed me it will jarred you awake. I clip mine onto my pyjamas. Some people

clip it to their pillow.

I hope this help you.

Thanks for the heads up about Shake Awake. I've been wanting something

like that even before the implant. I found them on the web but want to

look again locally to see if I can find one.
