Guest guest
: The band will not cause your baby to suffocate. I've never heard of one case of a band/helmet causing this. Most of the babies who are being treated with a band/helmet are old enough to roll & sleep on their bellies & none have suffocated from it! How's your son adjusting to the band? I hope all is going well. Keep us updated Debbie Abby's mom DOCgrad 6/22/01 MI > My son just received his band today. Yeah! My question is: He sleeps on his stomach now that he can turn over by himself and it seems that the band keeps his little face turned toward the mattress. Is there any chance of him suffocating? I only use a thin crib mattress cover and crib sheet. > > > Mom to (6mo.) > Utah
Guest guest
Wow... this is incredible. We have the same thing happening. My son just got his band and his is now sleeping on his stomach all the time. We are a little distressed, but as most people listed here, I think he is past the real worry age for SIDS. is 8 1/2 months. We really hate he sleeping on his stomach. He used to hate being on his stomach. He used to accidently roll over while sleeping and wake up crying. I think the helmet lets him roll over easily. He doesn't seem to mind and can always get back over to his back. > My son just received his band today. Yeah!
