Thought I would post an email that I received ( which is just like others that I

receive on a daily basis )

and see what the group would have us do! With Insurance companies in DENIAL and

on the run, Renters

with No Where to go, THERE HAVE GOT TO BE SOME PEOPLE WHO HAVE SOME ANSWERS. I'm

running out.

Thanks in advance for your insite and any help you can give me, which I can in

turn, pass on to our visitors ..

BEGIN POST: My question is this; we have rented our house for approx. 1 and a

half years, in this period of time, our basement

has flooded 2x's through no fault of our own. A pipe broke in the kitchen

between the sink and the dishwasher, and caused

a flood in the basement, and then a pipe broke in the basement bathroom, and

caused a flood. Also prior to us moving in

there was a flood downstairs, and they had to remove part of the drywall, which

was never replaced. After both of these i

ncidents we contacted our landlord, which refused to fix anything, he said he is

not responsible for repairs, we are. I find this

to be unfair, and we are not sure what steps to take next. The odor in the

basement is so horrible, that I cannot even go down

there, I am pregnant, and afraid that the toxins may harm my baby. Also my

10year old son was recently diagnosed with

asthma, and he has no prior history of breathing problems. We are at a complete

loss on how to deal with this problem, and

what actions we can take against our landlord. I would appreciate any help or

advise that you have to offer.

Thank you so much for your time. XXXXXXXXX - END

OH MY GOSH. GET THE HELL OUT OF THAT HOUSE AND NOW!

Believe me, having lived through the hell and aftermath, you can go to

salvation army or the home of a family member, but GET OUT OF THAT HOUSE. Your

unborn child is suffering more than you can ever imagine.

Get out and then deal with your landlord later. What state do you live in. I

can help you more after you answer this question. Thank you.
