Guest guest
Yes, I do know they are dangerous and all is protected within my HVAC system. The other kind I am looking for has a timer, and of course you don't look at it. Thank you for your concern. Is anyone aware of where to buy the portable ones w/timers? Guest guest
The other kind I am looking for has a timer, and of course you don't look at it. We used to call those sun tanning lamps, and as my cousins, avid suntanners in their teen years, proved to me one time, these lamps can burn as well. Their lamp had a timer too--but it malfunctioned. I think it took about a week for the facial swelling from the burn to go down and the pain to fully subside. Like sunburns, you don't really know you have received enough dose to be burned until much later. Another case I am familiar with was a maintenance man changing out a bulb in a hospital area. These bulbs were used to irradiate the air in the space. They were positioned for the most part so that no one gets direct exposure. But the maintenance guys were an afterthought. I believe this exposure took less than one minute for this poor fellow to get corneal burns. ****************************************************** If what is written looks too stupid to be written by me, I disclaim it.
