Betsy,

Counter the apartment manager by sending him appropriate quotes from

the Institute of Medicine, IICRC S520 and the EPA. If he choses to

believe a single newspaper article based on one doctor over all these

authoritative sources, then he weakens his postion and strengthens

yours.

Carl Grimes.......thanks but I'm not clear exactly what my position is. I

tried in vain to get a lawyer and now the 2 year statute of limitations has

expired but since learning that the apartment complex management destroyed

all water intrusion and mold complaints from our file here, we might have

grounds to reopen this thing and proceed. I am not sure who to go to next.

If anyone on the list knows a good place to start in Arlington, TX, please

let me know. There should be some sort of building code department but I

found nothing in the phone book in that regard. I'm certainly not looking

to " get rich quick " but there is an implied warranty of habitability law

that has been violated so if I can get back maybe part of the rent we've

been paying here for 5 years, I'd consider that fair enough. Looks like I

still need to find a lawyer.

Thanks again, Betsy
