Guest guest
I am leaving ( or should I say fleeing) my present home because of mold. I thought I had found a house to move to.. it is six years old and it has no smell of mold ( and I have an extremely sensitive nose at this point). However, I just had a mold inspection done and in the attic near the air conditioner unit, they think they found mold on the rafters in several spots. They did not do a swab test ( for lack of time as they want us to sign the contract tomorrow) but rather a tape test. How accurate will that be? They also did an air sample test, but I am doubtful that will show anything. I need advice. Should I run from this house? It is the only house that suits me as I am very chemicallly sensitive, and as I said I sense no smell of mold, ANYWHERE. (I did react a little in the finished part of the attic, but I always react when near carpet, and I am not sure it was to mold). But I am VERY desperate to get out of my present home which is growing more and more mold everyday, and this is the best alternative I have found. This is not a rental situation, but a house I plan to purchase. So, should one be scared off by a little mold on a rafter? HELP!...Jeri
