indoors this summer to escape the heat and humidity, many will find their

homes' interiors anything but cool and comfortable. From lime green shag

launching the " Lennox Home Comfort Makeover Contest. "

As part of the contest, which begins May 15 and runs through

Aug. 31, 2004, Lennox is searching the United States and Canada for the most

uncomfortable home in North America. One lucky homeowner will receive a

complete home comfort and interior design makeover, including a new Lennox

Integrated Home Comfort system configured specifically for their home and a

$25,000 USD interior design makeover.

To help launch the contest, Lennox has partnered with environmental

interior design expert Bernadette V. Upton. A 35-year veteran of the

interior

design industry and president of the American Society of Interior Designers

Florida-South Chapter, Upton serves as a spokesperson for Lennox on indoor

air

quality and home comfort issues, as well as a contest judge, and will

implement the grand-prize home comfort makeover.

making your home more breathable, " said Upton, who is accredited by the U.S.

Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environment Design program

and certified by the National Environmental Health Association. " There are

a

With

the Lennox Home Comfort Makeover Contest, busy homeowners who desire a more

comfortable place to live can enter the contest and breathe easy, knowing

that

if they win, their house will be transformed from a headache into a haven. "

The grand-prize winner of the Lennox Home Comfort Makeover Contest will

receive personal consultations with a Lennox home comfort specialist and

Upton; a $25,000 USD allowance for the complete interior design makeover;

and

a new Lennox Integrated Home Comfort system that not only heats and cools,

but

also lets the homeowner control the humidity and customize the airflow

throughout the house -- all while removing harmful particles, chemicals and

odors in the air. Four runners-up each will receive a $1,500 USD gift

certificate redeemable for Lennox home comfort equipment.

Entry Process and Prize Package

Official entry forms and the Official Rules are available between May 15

and Aug. 31, 2004, on the Lennox Web site at http://www.lennox.com.

Participants will be required to complete the entry form and describe,

in

200 words or fewer, why they believe their home is currently uncomfortable

and

in need of a home comfort makeover. In addition, entrants will be required

to

submit up to four photographs or up to one minute of video footage on either

a

VHS tape or CD-ROM that visually conveys the most uncomfortable aspects of

their home. Entries in any of these formats may be submitted via mail.

All entries will be judged on the following criteria:

The contest is open to legal residents of the United States or Canada,

excluding residents of Quebec, who are 18 years or older as of May 15, 2004

(for U.S. and District of Columbia residents), or the age of majority or

older

within the Canadian province in which they reside as of May 15, 2004

(for Canadian residents), and must own their own home with a central HVAC

(heating, ventilation and cooling) system. The Lennox Home Comfort Makeover

Contest grand-prize winner and four runners-up will be announced on or

around
