Guest guest Posted May 20, 2004 Report Share Posted May 20, 2004 It's the high profile cases like yours and mine (United HealthCare) that can afford to threaten politicians regarding area jobs. They hold all the cards until enough people eventually get sick and complain. The trouble with that is that those who do get sick immediately usually leave those jobs. The others who stay on would rather risk cancer, MS, and even death than to take a lower paying job. I know a girl who worked at UHC for many years who just had a mastectomy, knows it probably was caused by the sick building, yet just went back to work there! Her own family urged her not to.
