Guest guest
When the apartment complex we are living in changed owners a few months or so ago, the previous management removed from our file and destroyed all letters that we wrote to the office complaining of our serious water intrusion problems and the toxic mold present in the walls and ceiling of our unit. We found this out from a very nice gal who had been working in the office and has since left her employment here. She kindly xeroxed and replaced at least some, if not most of our requests for remediation and repairs from the copies I had kept and luckily, had the office manager sign upon receipt over the past few years. Is this legal? Destroying evidence that they were told there was a major health threat in this unit that was ignored? We still have a very hard time breathing in here and are currently making arrangements to move but we got sick because of their negligence and now they are obviously trying cover any evidence of their neglect. We have always paid our rent on time and never caused any problems here. Betsy
