Guest guest
Hello Janet, Welcome aboard! Hearty Congrats on all that you have accomplished with such limited hearing ability! Most folks call me art, and we'll just leave it at that. When I get called " Late to Dinner " , well, ya can imagine!, I'm life-long legally blind, and after I " got retired " with severe vision deterioration, the hearing in my left ear suddenly disappeared overnight 17 years ago. Princess , who also just arrived in CI-Hear recently, is lifelong totally blind, and profoundly deaf. In recent years she has gotten bilateral CI's, and has the best hering ability of her entire life. WE both have guide dogs. Princess's charcoal is her fifth, and Dusty is my second. We met for the first time ever at the guide dog school in 2000, and the Rest is History. Yes, there's a lot to learn about getting into the CI World, and we're all here for one another. Just pull up your chair and your favorite beverage, and ask away whatever is on your mind. Smiles & HappyHearing@Everyone! Art, New Port Richey, Florida =====. Janet wrote: Hello, all! I've been lurking for a couple of weeks, and now that my implant surgery date has been set for February 1st, thought it was time to introduce myself, and to express my appreciation to all those who have been posting and of such help to me.
