and all,

Thanks so much for your encouraging input. I just started Shoemaker's protocol. I would like more details on how your wife lost the weight. So far on Shoemaker's diet I have not lost weight. I just started the Actos a week ago. Yesterday I had a low blood sugar of 55 - as far as I know I have never had it this low before in my life.

Also, I wonder if his protocol is more effective when mold is the MAIN aspect of the disease. I have Lyme and mycoplasma infections - they have been treated extensively with antibiotics, but I am still not fully recovered, thus Shoemaker's protocol. My primary symptoms were more like mono with low grade fevers. I have never had a nosebleed. Do you think I might not be as good a candidate for the Questran and Actos?

I would love more details on you and your wife's treatment. In particular, how do you know when to stop or continue the Questran?

Thanks,

a Carnes

Dear LB and group,I haven't responded or even been to this site in about 3 years. The reason is because Cherry and I are better to the point of being just shy of where we were before the mold (which hit both of us very hard in '94)!!! Praise God! Dr. Johanning offered no help or hope. The Homeopath in Athens just cost us a ton of money with no recovery. The neutriceuticals did little except empty our bank account. Then we met Richie Shoemaker. The man is a genius. The man is compassionate. His contrast sensitivity test is conclusive and acurate. His Cholostyremine protocal works!!!!! I have been off of the CSM for over a year and only need a therapeutic dose on occasion, typically if I expose myself to any of the molds which held me in their hellsih grasp for about 6 or 7 years. Within a day, I'm over the reaction to the exposure. My nosebleeds (which were daily and as many a 3 a day) have subsided to the point that I guess I am only having about 1 every 2 or 3 months!!! The itching and tickling sensations which would keep us awake for nights on end (and these were the absolute worst symptoms!!) have only returnned to remind us of the torture they can subject us to maybe once a month. And now an antihystemine can keep these symptoms at bay. 4 years ago, NOTHING could relieve any of these symptoms. Then came Richie. Cherry still is taking CSM, and in very high doses. In the past year, her recovery has been amazing! She has lost about 70 lbs. Her hair has come back (i.e. eyebrows, eyelashes, and very thick like before on her head) Her cognitive functions have returned almost completely. Just last night, she noticed she was able to read out loud as quickly as she used to be able to. Much of our fatigue and joint pain has subsided, (it's now about 7:30 am and before the mold on a saturday I would never rise before 10!!) So...... Does Shoemaker have the magic bullet?? If you ask me, I give a loud YES!!!Regards, Haughton

I'll try to get my wife to respond. What i remember is it took about

a year; with no results for the longest time. Then one day, it

seemed like the pounds just came dropping off! Her determination to

stay with the diet with no apparent results is what impressed me.

Regards,

Thanks, . This is very encouraging. How long did she stay on the Actos and Questran? Those could have effects following longterm use as well, I guess.
