Guest guest
Hello all, My name is Allan. I live in Baltimore MD with my beautiful wife Anne. I'm new and looking foward to the exchange of ideas on this list. Anne has just been diagnosed with gallstones. In fact we saw them on the ultrasound machine. Mostly gravel with one or two larger looking ones. She had an attack that we thought was some wicked heartburn but it got so bad that I took he to the ER. That when we saw the stones. She has had these attacks before (we didn't know what they were), the first one was less than two years ago on our honeymoon. We ate lots of rich french food (we went to Quebec City). Or course the doctors wanted to suck out her gall bladder through five small incisions 'as soon as possible'. They would give us no other options. Lucky for us we have read some info on this and other subjects by Dr. Shultze and we are casual students of nutrition so we didn't fall for that line as we might have. I have read all I could get my hands on by Dr. Shultze and have Hulda s info on liver flushing as well. We are going to do Shultze's Bowel cleanse first and then the liver flush. At least that is the plan for now. My questions at this time are four fold: - Should this process of passing the stones be a singular event or a gradual process over days or weeks. - What can we do beforehand to minimize the risk or getting the stone stuck somewhere during the cleanse. - Are there ways to 'lubricate' that area so it goes smoother and the stones can slide out using herbs or such. - Are there things we can do to dissolve the stones before hand and does dissolving them make them 'sharper'? We don't want to disslove off the fat and leave a sharp coral like stone that will hurt her on the way out. We have a bunch of material telling us what we should and should not do. Some of it is conflicting and we would love to here from people who have done it before themselves. We want to prepare well and do it right. I must confess we are a bit nervous. We have no health insurance and just this trip to the ER will certainly cost more than we can pay for at once. We don't want to sit by passively, we refuse to be intimidated into avoiding alternative methods. I dread seeing my wife have some emergency procedure done that she will have to live with the rest of her life because we tried something at home through natural means that failed because or ignorant zeal, inedequate preparation or false information. I know I most likely asking things that have been discussed before. Please forgive me for perhaps asking for what may have been asked and answered many times before. I am E-mail only and still have not figured out how to search the archives through E-mailing. Your friend in Christ, Allan
