Some kids (I believe it was Donna's Maddy) resist but don't hold a grudge and come back willingly. , my guy, will refuse to go back to a place where something was forced. We work hard to make things workable for him including EKGs, Echos, hearing tests, dental work, blood tests, medical exams and on and on... Not judging one way or the other just observe his reactions and do what works for him( even if it isn't the easiest for the medical practicianers). In fact, it was the major argument about how ESY wasn't appropriate. If he has to work through axiety just to go there, then the activities are no longer fun educational things that maintain his skills. YOu lose something in the process of the anxiety... j

Guest guest
, when I got my CI, I was given 2 processors when they activated me. I chose one of each type (the one you refer to as looking like a hearing aid, and one of the body processors---has the long wire coming down). I am happy I chose this combination and I will tell you my reasons: Sometimes when I am exercising, I find that the behind the ear (the one that looks like the hearing aid) isn't very stable. I have heard that people use headbands to stabilize theirs, but I have been happy using the body processor so there is nothing over my ear. Also, when I drive my car on the track, I find that my body processor is much easier to use with my race helmet since only the magnet has to be positioned. Also, there is less chance of damage to the small microphone (T-mic) on the behind-the-ear processor when i repeatedly put the helmet on and take it off (we wear full helmets--not like the bicycle helmets). If I am driving alone in my car on the track I don't always wear the processor, but when I am with an instructor or student, I have to use the 2-way microphone system I installed in my helmet in order to be able to hear them I have a very small ear and I have to tape the behind-the-ear processor behind my ear with toupee tape to hold it on. It is very crowded up there on top of my ear so when I have to add sunglasses, there is no room! I will often switch to the body processor when i am driving long distances in the car so that I can wear sunglasses comfortably. When I had surgery, I used the body processor---all they had to do was keep the magnet on my head and I could hear just fine. I clipped the body processor to my hospital gown. I love my behind the ear processor for using cell phones, for listening to speakers and concerts (the magnet for the body processor is on the back of my head and the microphone is in the magnet, so I hear sounds behind me better than in front of me unless I use the attachment microphones for the body processor). My batteries for the body processor last longer than the batteries for my behind the ear so when it is inconvenient to change them I prefer the body processor. Everybody is different, so see if any of these situations apply to your life. Good luck! Audrey
Guest guest
Re: Organic Baby Clothes and anti-oxidants and building up, for toxic environments - re: Caroline's emails Here's a site of a friend of mine - http://www.crystalbabyorganics.com/Home.html She's dedicated to helping kids start out right healthfully. She's also a chiropractor and when in that practice also talked to people about doing it for their kids. I went to an Ann Wigmore Center - of course not everyone can go - but we did a big detox and a lot of cleansing and rebuilding baby green foods with their enzymes. I came back a lot more refreshed and less reactive to fumes. I found a while ago that calcium from seaweed and organic dark green leafy vegetables helped me be less sensitive. Kale, collards, chard, parsley, spinach, watercress, dandelion greens, beet greens, carrot tops. I did a mostly fruit cleanse for a little while which was good, but I became more sensitive to the smog in LA - could smell it more even - then I went to a lot of green leafy org vegetables juices - 1 or 1-1/2 quarts a day at least - and big green salads and a lot of kombu, kelp and wakame, and it all made me less reactive to the smog. (It also healed a sprained wrist.) Rose hips cut and sifted chips from health food stores and herb companies - Frontier Natural Health Coop in Iowa has organic - but it is also small chips. The Herb Corner store in Melbourne, Florida has bigger pieces (less piece oxidation) that are also organic. Both are on web. http://www.brooknershealth.com - website is not fully built but the tel nr is there. Jeff Brookner is very knowledgeable and he sells in bulk for more affordable costs - of special anti-oxidants and algaes, enzymes and some special herbs. He looks for high life force. And has special kinds of products. I have used his products for years and know him personally. He has been knowledgeable about living foods for over a decade. For bacterial and even fungal infections and to help the liver, Boldo Leaves help me right away - available from Herb Products Company in North Hollywood CA, AC 818 and 800. Can order small amounts to try. I get the leaves - small but less oxidised than the powder. Lou --- Dr wrote: >
Guest guest
Re: Organic Baby Clothes and bedding - more info I forgot, the site has articles about the benefits of organics, info about the cotton and wool, even how to wash them. Also offers an email notification setup so if you have a baby and want to notify a list of friends and relatives when the shower, birthdays etc - are coming - so they can give these products as gifts if they want. They sell bedding and crib covering and things, too. Even if you don't buy from this site, the info should be educational. I looked on Google for organic cotton baby clothes and as you might imagine, there are pages of listings. There should be lots of information. If you type in Organic Baby Clothes Barbara Hodal you'll find Crystal Baby Organics on the first page. Lou --- Dr wrote: >
