Guest guest
The idea is good to march on Washington. But I have no way of getting there. I even have caught the attention of the bvixce president with my stories of the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and he asked NAVSEA Command and the shipyard just lied.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When will they hear us? Will this march do it? I have been fighting for a year. Senators, congressmen, now the vice president.......when will they hear? Still, this is a good idea that can be ironed out. In the meantime, I WOULD LIKE TO REMIND EVERYONE that the MAPERcoalition is working with the office of Rep. Conyers in conducting a national media conference and associated Mold and Indoor Air Pollution Awareness week, upcoming on Sept 19-24. The media conference will be held in the House Building (Rayburn) in Washington DC, with members of the House, Senate and national media invited and expected to be in attendance. EVERYONE on this board deserves to have their opinions heard -- if you haven't already, go to www.MDAwareness.com, click the " Make your opinions heard " button, and sign the petition. Send the page to your concerned unaffected friends, too. No " Moldie " , spacecase excuses -- if you can access this forum, you can do this. This is the first real, organized action on the issue, and if there is a perception that this is a rare illness due to lack of response, the whole thing will get swept under the rug. Again. Many here have expressed frustration with government's lack of acknowledgement of the issue -- this will use the power of the media to put our problem front and center. Politicians who ignore the reality of mold related illnesses after this event will do so at their own peril. First the media event to get on the radar -- next year, The March. http://www.MDAwareness.com Lee
