Guest guest
I am considering going to see Dr.Shoemaker and would appreciate advice from his patients.Does he acknowledge the link between mold and MCS ex-kidneys and liver can not process all the aldehydes the mycotoxins produce? Also is cholestyramine his only course of treatment? If so what were any of the side effects?I thought my CFS and Fibro were gone til I took one trip to civilization and all my symptoms returned. Guest guest
I'm not a patient of Dr Shoemakers, but I've talked with him and he does understand the link between MCS, CFS and Mycotoxins. In fact, he is the only doctor I've found who understands it from my perspective, as outlined in the book " Desperation Medicine " . I told him how I resolved my MCS symptoms through mycotoxin avoidance and he was virtually the only doctor of the many hundreds that I've contacted who understood the " Mycotoxin Connection " . All others decided that my story was irrelevant or mistaken. It's struck me as quite interesting the lengths people will go to deliberately ignore information that could possibly help them. But as we say in Russian, Tovschit for you rich. -

Perhpas with enough sucess stories, Dr. Shoemakers protocols will begin to gain credence. In the menatime, current " research " is like the three blind men encircling the Elephant, all thinking they are touching a different animal. Start with the trunk, and you have a Python. > It's struck me as quite interesting the lengths people will go to > deliberately ignore information that could possibly help them. Does this sound familiar! Not only from the pateint side, but doctors as well -- the opinions of treating physicians is more valid than what people actually experience physically. But then again, opinionated people like you and I are living in tents and travel trailers -- might as well make a tinfoil hat to guard against the cosmic rays... > But as we say in Russian, Tovschit for you rich. There is also an additive available to lessen the side effect of constipation.
