SAMPLE LETTER TO CONGRESS:

Congressman/Senator _______________________, I am a constituent of

yours in the state of _____________. My name is ________________

and I am concerned about indoor mold growth. Asthma rates have sky

rocketed in the last few years. This has left many, including our

nation's children, with breathing difficulties. As mold is an

asthma trigger, we need our buildings cleaned up immediately.

Please support legislation to help the thousands of victims that

have experienced this first hand by providing emergency

appropriations to help clean up our homes, rentals, workplaces, and

our nation's schools.

SAMPLE LETTER TO EPA:

Indoor Air Quality Division:

My name is _________________, and I am concerned about indoor mold

growth in our buildings. The asthma rate within the U.S. is one of

the highest in the world, which causes difficulty breathing and even

death. Indoor mold growth is an asthma trigger that has resulted in

sky-rocketing medical costs lost work and school days. We need our

buildings cleaned up to prevent this debilitating disease from

causing further losses.

Please institute a policy change to include indoor mold growth on

the list of indoor pollutants that desperately need to be

addressed. Please make cleaning up and preventing mold growth in

our indoor environment a top priority. There have been thousands of

families and school children that experienced this first hand in our

homes, rentals, workplaces, and our nation's schools and we need

your help.

SAMPLE LETTER TO PRESIDENT BUSH:

My name is _________________, and I am concerned about indoor mold

growth in our buildings. The asthma rate within the U.S. is one of

the highest in the world, which causes difficulty breathing and even

death. Indoor mold growth is an asthma trigger that has resulted in

sky-rocketing medical costs lost work and school days. We need our

buildings cleaned up to prevent this debilitating disease from

causing further losses.

Please support legislation to address indoor mold growth by

providing emergency appropriations for our homes, rentals,

workplaces, and our nation's school. Please provide direction to

the Environmental Protection Act (EPA) to include indoor mold growth

as an indoor pollutant. Provide direction to the Center for Disease

Control and Prevention (CDC) on training our nation's physicians

regarding recognizing and treating illnesses caused by indoor mold

contamination.

Assist the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) with clear cut

guidelines on proper clean up to ensure the prevention of mold

growth following a natural disaster. Bleach does not clean mold

from behind the walls or within the ceiling cavity, yet this

information is still being given out by FEMA following a water loss

event. Other agencies are no longer recommending bleach as it is

not effective.

Thousands of victims have experienced the devastating effects of

indoor mold growth first hand and we need your help.

SAMPLE LETTER TO CDC:

Indoor Pollutant Division:

My name is _________________, and I am concerned about indoor mold

growth in our buildings. Please institute a policy change to

include all mycotic disease caused by indoor mold growth as a

recognized illness by teaching our nation's physicians how to

recognize, diagnose and treat these life-threatening diseases.

There have been thousands of families and school children that have

been devastated by the effects of indoor mold growth in our homes,

rentals, workplaces, and our nation's schools and we need your help.

According to Dr. Tucker, of the Washington office of the

Center for Nonproliferation Studies and former United Nations

biological weapons inspector in Iraq, " T-2 mycotoxins have been used

in yellow rain as a form of biological warfare, by certain aspects of

military. "

These are the very same T-2 mycotoxins that are invading our homes at

record numbers and making us so desperately ill.

The general consensus from the affected public, including myself

is, " If military groups are using these exact same T-2 mycotoxins for

biological warfare, why is the CDC at the same time publicly stating

that toxigenic mold, is rare and only proven to be a mild respiratory

allergen, and even funding studies to say this?

We deserve better than this.

The American people are resilient and intelligent enough to be told

the unvarnished truth about any public health issue. The challenges

of National health crisis's such as Polio and Smallpox were addressed

and eradicated through nationalized vaccination programs and focused

effort on the part of agencies such as the CDC.

Is funding such an important issue that it is going to ruin the

present and future health of our citizens, thus destroying our

economy in the long run?

With a national health crisis of potential proportions looming, I am

confident that the Government could respond in a similarly

appropriate manner. Please be more frank and honest with us and

address this issue with with the urgency and concern that it

deserves. We need action now!
