Guest guest
Yes, I also became ill in a government building. I was lied to, told I was crazy, covered up and railroaded out on 40% disability. I have a kid in college. I have written numerous representatives, senators and even the white house. When we are employed as government service, we are invaluable. When we become sick from mold in a government environment, we are nothing except a monstrosity to get rid of. I am told I cannot sue my employer. I have filed a claim with the Navy Legal Service and was denied and need to go through the federal courts. I will find out how. I have a Workmen's Comp hearing coming up and an ongoing EEO case with the shipyard I worked for. It has been an uphill battle for a year. In the beginning I couldn't even walk or get out of bed the pain was so bad. I still remain prisoner a lot in my apartment with my aircleaners. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT CARE!! Sorry I got on my soapbox. Janet

I would second that one. The government seems to look the other way when schools are involved - they don't care how many teachers and school staff are sickened - nor how many children either. If you doubt this at all read http://schoolmoldhelp.org/testim.html. http://www.cga.state.ct.us/2003/envdata/chr/2003env00307-r001400-chr.htm The public doesn't know - but the government knows and doesn't care! The reason? It costs too much money to fix these problems. They can't see beyond that.
