" Common? Scary thought. Then you went on to say, " This is NOT a bad news though if you are required to replace internal device. It helps you hear even better with more updated technology in market right now. " Not bad news? You make it sound almost as if this is an ideal way to get the latest and greatest that CI technology has to offer. I am not sure that most of us are comforted by that prospect. You do know there is no guarantee that any CI surgery will be successful, now do a replacement surgery and well, I think we would prefer the external hardware fail rather than the internal. Any day.
