Gizmo the hearing impaired dog in San Diego CA.

Good evening everyone

Last month I sent out an e-mail letting everyone know about a precious

little dog who was hearing impaired and needed a home. His name is

Gizmo. At the time things were looking up ...three families were

interested in adopting him but as luck would have it none of the

families ended up taking him. So here I am one more time pleading my

case for this pup who desperately needs a home and some love. recently

I found out the reason he is hearing impaired is because he was abused

as a pup.....so I truly have a sincere desire to help the family that

is fostering him find a home. Spread the word...for his sake. If you

some new updated pictures of him as well.

Gizmo's intro

My name is Gizmo and I'm a two year old Maltese with a lot of love -

and an equal amount of curiosity! I'm playful, friendly and cuddly -

and my foster mom says I'm as cute as can be.

My mom also says to tell you I'm special -- in many ways. For example

I have one blue eye and one brown eye - and outstanding vision. (You

ought to see me chase bugs and catch them: I'm good!) I also have an

underbite - so I often look like I'm smiling at you and, in truth, I

am because I'm a pretty happy fellow! One of the other things that

makes me special is that I know hand signals -I've learned quickly to

sit, come, stay, yes, no and am working on rolling over and other

tricks. I've learned these because I am deaf - but that doesn't stop

me! I REALLY communicate!

I love to give doggy kisses, am good walking on a leash, LOVE to play

with my red ball for hours. (Mom says I love to throw it in the pool

and ask someone to get it for me - and I'm quite convincing! I'm also

housebroken -but need reinforcement!

I really want to please and be loved. I 'm also very observant and

protective because I want to take care of my family! When I first came

into rescue I had very long white silky hair (but it was also very

matted. SinceI LOVE the great outdoors and am very active my Mom gave

me a 'summer cut' (so I'd be cooler and it would be easier.)

While I have lots of energy I also know how to wind down for snuggles.

Mom says I sleep from 9:00 pm to 8:00 am.- and am very loving when I

am gently awakened. If I sound like your kind of guy, please ask for
