Guest guest
Usually whenever T-mic stops functioning, you could hear popping sounds. Try replace new one. However; please see your implant audiologist immediately due to that type of hearing symptom is common for internal implant failure that may require explant to replace newer one. This is NOT a bad news though if you are required to replace internal device. It helps you hear even better with more updated technology in market right now. Helix is great ! Guest guest
Hi Roxie, I've noticed the popping sounds lately too, but just when I'm out walking. Maybe it's due to perspiration as someone suggested? My t-mic is working fine and I don't have the popping sounds right now. -- Carol > > Hello!!!!!!!!!! > > Has anyone ever experience a popping sound, like popcorn popping in a > microwave in their t-mic or processor? Guest guest
Hi Carol, I thought it would be just from walking also, except today I have been ironing - don't like to iron - so I did some this morning and did not shower and change the t-mic. I had quite a few sessions of popping while I was ironing I waited until after lunch to shower and put on 2 t-mics that has been in the dry and store since 8:30 a.m. yesterday morning. I decided to finish the ironing, I am in an air conditioned house at 70 degrees, I was not sweating at all and within 30 minutes I started popping. I have ordered 2 new t-mics today to see if it is from perspiration or humidity. The 4 t-mics I have seem to be working just fine. Thanks for letting me know I am not the only one popping.
