Guest guest
There was something I had forgot to mention when i heard about it, but about 3 Saturdays ago Art Bell on Coast to Coast AM had a guest on talking about " black mold " . at least that's what a caller the next night refered to. I wonder if some of us should e-mail Noury and ask him if he would be willing to do another show on the topic. They are on at least 515 stations in the US, and are available on the web. I can't think of a better medium to get some exposure. Any thoughts anyone?? Yours truly Biff Byrum

Guest guest
Art Bell is certainly widely aired, and I enjoy his show at times, but I would have concern about making an association with a host who is known for forwarding UFO conspiracy theories. Art has operated on the fringe for decades. There are a number of other physicians who have syndicated call in shows on AM, however. These could be more in line with the goal of maintaining credibility. After the recent press conference in DC, it is important to keep this issue within the mainstream whenever possible. The opposition is just starting to get ramped up. This aspect of the press is a good direction to go in, though -- good suggestion. Guest guest
Actually the Coast to Coast program did have a segment on toxic mold on August 9th. F. Progovitz, author of " Black Mold: Your Health and Your Home " was the guest. See http://www.coasttocoastam.com/shows/2004/08/09.html<http://www.coasttocoastam.co\ m/shows/2004/08/09.html> I've been a listener to Art Bell and now his successor Noory for 8 or more years now. Often their guests are on the cutting edge and talking about ideas long before they hit the mainstream. Sometimes they have people on who are slightly nuts - so what? Too often people are afraid of being painted with the " froot loop " label - but an open mind is more preferable than one closed tight. What closed mind ever invented anything fantastic? Did closed minds send spaceships to the moon? Often the reason we are surrounded by closed minds is that people fear treading on the toes of another's interest. And we know what happens when you tread on powerful toes - like those of big pharma or the energy industry. Find a cure for cancer and you are treading on the toes of a billion dollar industry that pours millions into Washington lobbying to maintain the status quo. Doctors are in the business of treating symptoms - NOT curing disease. Parma makes its money from pharmaceuticals - not from curing illness. So, think what you will - I'd rather listen to someone who is pushing the envelope and gets the brain juices flowing - even if I totally disagree with them - than hearing the same old thing over and over.
