Do they have any children of their own and are they (their children) displaying any signs of GWS? Thanks, Jeff
Guest guest
Andi, That's right -- I remember you mentioning that you worked in the Criminal Justice field for many years. I would love it if you could share your own perspective after being on the inside so to speak. (Please feel free to e-mail me anytime! <smile>) The course I'm taking this semester will examine different aspects of the justice system including the treatment of minorities. The professor will give us more than one perspective so we can have a better understanding and appreciation of various issues not only from the court's perspective, but the criminal perspective as well. I couldn't agree with you more about the need for more social workers in the field of criminal justice. That's one reason why I decided to take this course. Based on what I learned today, the course should be very interesting! Guest guest
There can be several fans in the computer - one in the power supply (usually at the top of the box) one on the processor and depending on the performance (and therefore the heat output) there may be one in the back of the case. If you really want quiet, get a laptop, which usually only has one, very small fan. The noisy bits of a computer are the power supply (fan) processor (fan) any other fans and the hard drive. The trend is toward faster speed hard drives to improve access times - 10,000 and 15,000 rpm hard drives make a fair old 'whistle as they work' Alternatively there are special quiet computer cases but they are expensive. Guest guest
Hi Lee, It seems like doing Life Lift forever (that's good). I've only been back a few months but was here for a summer in 2002, I think. I had lost weight and inches but since gained them back. Since rejoining this time I have not measured for several reasons but I can tell a large difference in the strength of my abdomen muscles and can hold the breath a lot longer again than when I first started this time. I'm focusing on the 40 breaths on a regular basis to see how well it helps with my body being shrunk and shaped. Guest guest
Hi Lee, I am so glad that you did the stomach rub and 70 (wow!!!) LL breathis so far today. That is so great. If you sometimes have to do fewer LL breaths some days than other days, that is fine. Just as long as you do a minimum of 40 on any given day!!! Within a few months, you will be able to do 100 LL breaths a day without any problem, if you are like me, anyway. As far as being able to do LL while walking at the same time is concerned, don't worry. That will come, too. When I started LL, I was only able to do it if I were standing still, sitting in a chair, or lying down on my bed or a sofa. It takes time to build up your lungs and your stamina with LL, so be assured that the ability to do LL breathing while you are walking will definitely come to you in time. It might take only 2 months of LL breathing to get that advanced, or it might take as many as 6 months, but please have no doubt in your mind as to whether or not you will be able to do it, as I know for sure that you will. As I said, it takes time to become a pro at LL breathing, just like it takes time to become a pro at anything else. You are doing fantastically well, Lee, and I am so proud of you that you wouldn't believe it. Keep plugging away at LL, dear, and, within the coming year you will be amazed at what you see in the mirror when you look at your reflection. Never forget, Lee, that I am in your cheering section. Go girl, go!!! Love always, Pat Re: Lee Hello everyone! Started my day with the stomach rub and I have 70 breaths already. Kinda slacked yesterday though, spent the day shopping. Can't seem to walk and LL at the same time yet. LOL Lee Virginia Hutton <sos4mom (DOT) com> wrote: Hi Lee, I just wanted to second Wanda's take on the messages. Mine have been wierd this week too. Guest guest
Hi Lee, You're so very welcome, sweetie!!! I am so very glad that you like this wonderful Life Lift group and that being a member of it is helping you in keeping motivated and on track with your Life Lift breathing program. Your comments are music to my ears, or, in this case, MUSIC TO MY EYES!!!! Love always, Pat Re: Lee Hi Lee, I totally agree, it helps so much to keep on track. :-) Connie > > > > > > I replied to a couple of posts yesterday, but I > > don't see them here. > > I > > > don't have a lot of experience with groups so I'm > > not sure if I am > > > doing it correctly or not. Guest guest
Walking and chewing gum at the same time? I've heard that joke so many times!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Love always, Pat Re: Re: Lee At least I can walk and chew gum at the same time. Or I used to be able to. Haven't chewed gum in quite awhile so I might be blowing hot air.
