Guest guest
I'm not too worried about sleeves, they have been around for 100 years. Medicine just didn't used them for weight loss in the beginning, they used them for stomach cancer and ulcers and such. It's known how much the stomach stretches out. Bands... they have been trying to get them right since the 70s and so far, it's not working. First it was the mesh band, then the metal non adjustable band, then the small adjustable band, now the huge mega band. Stats aren't changing much. I'm thrilled for you that yours is working but they don't work for most long term. Had there been long term US studies on bands when I got mine I wouldn't have had a band. But in those days we just didn't know. The first long term studies on sleeves for weight loss came out in 6/08 and in 6/08 is when I had my revision. ;o) On Sun, Jan 9, 2011 at 2:51 PM, Joanne Bodeen <joannebodeen@...> wrote: nope sure don't...but Donna will be here next week and I'll ask. Carole and I visit on email so that's how I will find out from her...don't suppose it matters much...just the fyi in the ever changing picture of belts/sleeves! Wonder what the next " new " answer will be. There WILL be one. So far so good w/me...not perfect but better than any other 74 year old woman I know. Still hitting the gym,3 times a week, zumba twice a week, working at the library (as a volunteer) and trying to remember the 7 kids b'days and the 23 g'children the same as well as the 6 g'gchildren not to mention the many friends we are blessed to have. Hope all goes well w/you Bipley. I remember our conversations of 4 years ago. You were very kind and helpful...all the time me not knowing that you were having a terrible time w/the belt hence your revision. jb
Guest guest
Well, it looks like insurance is a no go, so I just sent an email to Nina. I'm so nervous! I'm planning on Spring Break so I will have a couple of months to stress and panic before I actually go down there.
Guest guest
No go for my insurance was the best thing that could have happened. It will be for you too.
