This week I drove to see Dr. Shoemaker in land from my home in the Catskills

of New YOrk. I drove to the recommended Holiday Inn in Pocomoke, less than a

mile or two from Shoemaker's office.

My husband took the room and I slept in my car, because, as I had worried would

be the case, my MCS kept me from being able to stay in the room. I spoke the

next morning with the owner, who is copied here. He is aware of the growing

interest in Dr. SHoemaker's practice and the need for MCS friendly

accomodations. HE was willing to stop using regular cleaning agents and use

alternatives.

Im calling on the list of MCS sufferers, or those that would value a fragrance

free place to stay when travelling to that area. Please let Mr. Patel know what

you would require, and he sounds extremely receptive and welcoming to the news.

Hopefully if enough of us respond, he may turn more than one room over.

He was willing to use vinegar to clean, willing to consider pulling up rugs and

use tiling, willing to not use any air freshners or stasndard cleaning supplies

for other rooms. My worry is that when full, he will allow others without a care

about fragrance to " toxify " the room. I was hoping we could chime in in numbers

to support his keeping this room truly safe.

Perhaps other chais will cosider this approach. Mr Patels e mail is
