I just returned from seeing Dr. Aceves for my sleeve..got to meet Biplay and

have dinner Thursday night and have my last supper of eating freely for the rest

of my life. I sat and downed chips and steak and potatoes while I watched her

pack up hers and take it home...that was eye opening. She was awesome and gave

me so much encouragement.

I was very nervous, but the surgery was not EVEN as bad as I imagined. Had my

lap band out in September due to complications so I was expecting to be in the

same amount of pain I was with that surgery..not even! Dr. Aceves is

wonderful...way better than any doc I have had in the states. I slept alot and

the staff was great..always there to help.

I have had some head hunger as making dinner for the family but making it

through ok. Just try to keep really busy so I dont think about it. I find myself

fantasizing sometimes about certain foods..but that is to be expected. I

encourage anyone considering the band to consider the sleeve. There are a ton of

people having the revisions now as the band just is not a good life long term.

I will be in touch with my progress!!! Thanks Biplay...you are awesome!

Congrats on your sleeve! Is it possible to have the band removed and the sleeve done at the same time?Did Dr. A remove your band? What was your cost for your revision?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I had the band removed in August in the states. Insurance covered some as there

were major problems. The sleeve was 8750.00
