I chose Mexicali because I had been researching that Dr. for over 3

yrs. I chose the sleeve because I didn't want to have to deal /w/

issues of the band... *erosion, fills, unfills, food getting stuck,

fluro, no fluro, trying to find the sweet spot, PBing (productive

burp), I didn't want to have to drive every time I needed a fill or

an unfill I didn't want to have to worry about Dr.s and besides I

don't trust them anyway. I didn't want to have to face any risks of

my body possibly rejecting the band or the port* there was just too

much /w/ the band, and it wasn't worth it to me and I knew 100 % that

I didn't want a RNY gastric bypass either. I was rejected insurance x

2 with in the last year and have not had health insurance since June

2006, so I decided to sell my retirement stocks and get sleeved

because at that rate I knew I was never going to make it to

retirement. So why Mexico? Mainly because I have not heard one bad

thing about Dr. Aceves in over 3 years! So that in its self says

something to me! I also went based on price $ 9.5 G in Mexico vs.

$15.9 G here in the states and the US health care system sucks and I

don't like it and have no faith in it. The US treats you like dirt if

you don't have or can't afford or been denied private and corp.

insurance. *D all the above for me* and I don't qualify for Medicare

and make too much for any sort of state funded or assisted program,

Yet I only work part time and do not qualify for employers insurance.

Also I just wanted to have the procedure done and over with, vs. the

US health care jump through our hoops BS. Sorry if that was a bit

negative. But I have strong opinions about the VI , the US Health

Care, and the lack there of. I guess there is negative and positive

on both sides it just depends on what one focuses.

Pictures are coming soon.
