You are talking about the treatment by Dr. Devi, Dr Cutler was/is a

student of hers.

Dr. Devi when talked to DIRECTLY has stated that her treatment is for TRUE

allergies and is INEFFECTIVE with MCS.

One of the doctors I know has discussed this at length with Dr. Devi and

she even agreed it is not effective and has REQUESTED that her

practicitioners NOT claim it works for this segment of the population.

Why doctors seem to think that they can feign efficacy with a treatment

for traditional alleriges vs MCS is beyond me. THe only thing that seems

logical is tht they think everything is an IgE mediated repsonse, which

MCS is not part of.

Also, this LONG DISTANCE treatment by phone is just pure FRAUD! There is

no way someone can talk to you over the phone and viola cure you. Might

as well just use the money to light up a cigarette!

Everyone has an ANGLE! Those with MCS are NOT a revenue source for

doctors who are trying to remodel their HOMES!

Thanks for responding to my question, Angel---I also got feedback from a

lady in our support group. She said that she spent two years in NAET

treatment for food allergies and MCS. After that time she said her food

allergies were better but it did nothing for the chemical problems. After

a year or so, she began to get her food allergies back again due to leaky

gut, etc. She does not recommend the treatment.

It sure pays to ask around!! (Seek and you shall find!)

Ruth

ps: Have you ever heard of EI docs given patients Dextromethorphan to

eradicate MCS symptoms (especially from perfume)???

There is one thing that the doctors keep missing....the MCS pt has an

overload of chems in the body...the liver is not processing fast enough in

phase 1 and now you want to add another chem into this chemical soup.

THe only thing I have found to alleviate but NOT CURE MCS symptoms from

perFUMEs is a homeopathic remedy called cosmetstat. Also, I do my own

accupuncture when I really need to detox after a hard hit of a fragrance.

Also, advise and heed this...I was in bed bath and beyond yeswterday. I

walked in the place STUNK and I mean BAD...so, I went got a mask to go in.

Even with the mask it was so bad I had to leave, as I never had really

that much trouble in the store. I get into the car the first words out of

my husbands mouth isw YOU REEK! He is not chemically senswitive but he

said it was so bad he had to open the windows. I was so whacked it wasn't

eve3n funny, I had to resort to the heavy duty homeopathics (higher

doseage) and even that didn't work.

Back to your question....I find hiomeopathic remedies counteract most

exposwures. I have played around with enough now I know which ones work

with whihc chem.

YOu could try the acupuncture ppoints and use your fingernail to act as

the *needle*...there are certain points in the ear that work wonderfully!

You notice a decrease immediately.

THere is no magic bullet/drug etc. ITs a long slow process that will

allow you eventually...if you are lucky, to tolerate some that you dont

react as violently too.

Remember one thing...an allopathic doctor is used to using drugs to treat

a symptom not a casue...aka ANTIfungal, ANTIbacterials,

ANTIpyretic....then when you take the drug there are a long list of

adverse effects...but don't worry they have yet ANOTHER drug to counteract

those and it goes on and on.

I was VERY ANTI homeopathics until I read a book and said what the hell

can't hurt...now, I swear by them and they do work and no side effects.

Check out the COmplete Book of Homeopathy by Weiner it converted

me.
