Guest guest
Jill...The band manufacturer says fills can be done as early as four weeks, Dr. Aceves disagrees and won't do them until six weeks.Believe me, when you hit " Bandster hell " you'll want a fill if you happen to need one. Most seem to need a fill shortly after the post op diet is complete. Guest guest
Hi it's been a while since I've posted on here. I just was to share my experience with fills. Everyone is different, I personally didn't need a fill right away. I think my first fill was 3 month after I was banded. I had good restriction without a fill. I have only had two fills since banded on June 30, 2006. I only have .8cc in my band and I have pretty good restriction. I have lost a total of 120 lbs. I have 20 lbs to go before I hit goal. You will know when you need a fill. Sometimes our bands adjust themselves. There are times I can just eat and snack and there are times that my band just wont let anything go down. I love my band and I'm still learning to work with it. Good luck with your band. Guest guest
I was banded November 2 and I just scheduled my first fill. I thought I would be ready at 6 ot 8 weeks but I wasn't. I am feeling much better about not pushing it and waiting until I felt ready. It probably wouldn't have been a problem, but I didn't want to find out the hard way! - In , Michel <mchlanna@...> wrote: > > Hi it's been a while since I've posted on here.
