treatment called NAET

I feel discussing Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Technique (NAET) is

somewhat off-topic for this listserve. But I'm having a hard time not

responding when people who know little about the subject are criticizing a

treatment I have read numerous books about, talked with numerous

practitioners about, and personally experienced success with for more than

five years from three practitioners. I do understand your skepticism because

I just blew it off when I first heard about these treatments; after all, I

wrote about chemical sensitivities and treatments for The Human Ecologist

(Human Ecology Action League pub) and thought I knew the best ways of

coping. : )

Please read a book about NAET or Bioset or if you are interested in others'

success stories about NAET, go to

http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/CGI/wa.exe

and join the NAET listserve. The listsowner was bedridden for several years

and could only eat 6 foods before she had NAET.

I have done many other things to deal with chemical sensitivities (1987

onset) and serious food sensitivities. I live in a home with hot water heat

and no carpet, eat well, avoid many chemicals, etc. I've been to traditional

allergists (who offered little help except letters to my employers),

European-trained homeopaths, MD environmental medicine specialists, etc.,

etc. I've gone on strict food rotation diets, etc., etc. The only thing that

has really, really made a difference is NAET and Bioset. I began treatments

about five years ago from an MD who used to be traditional MD.

Doris Rapp, MD, the allergist and best-selling author who has helped many

with chemical sensitivities through what used to be called " clinical

ecology, " favorably mentions these treatments in her newest book, Our Toxic

World; A Wake Up Call.

As with any new treatments, these are evolving and the success depends on

the patient and the practitioner and the practitioner's level of training.

This is not a quick fix. Don't go to a practitioner who just dabbles in NAET

or Bioset; find someone who really studies it. Lifestyle changes must also

be made. The sicker one is, the more complex MCS is to treat. The sickest

MCS person I personally know has become pretty " normal " with one of these

techniques.

A Bioset practitioner who sells the vials to NAET and Bioset practitioners

(Ergopathics), states that he finds chemicals are as easy to clear as foods

are.

RE: food reactions

Yes, SOMETIMES a reaction is to the chemicals (pesticides, etc.) on the food

rather than the food itself. I was sensitive to corn itself and reacted

severely to both organic and nonorganic corn. However, before treatments, I

reacted only to nonorganic potatoes (which have pesticides and also a

chemical to keep them from sprouting). I can now eat all potatoes but eat

organic at home.

I will respond to questions about NAET offlist as time allows.

There are inexpensive, do-it-yourself energy techniques that good NAET and

Bioset practitioners tell me work, but I prefer to stick with what I know.

Our family is now ordering our own vials and treating ourselves (or using

the actual food, chemical, etc.) For self-treatment: Check into TAT

(www.tat-intl.com/aboutTAT.htm or EFT (www.emofree.com). Yes, this is weird

stuff and you must be very motivated. I really don't care how weird it is

because I'm getting well while others are telling me this stuff can't work!

: ) My apologies for this long post. But if I were cured from cancer and

you had cancer, you'd want to know my experience. So I know from your

personal e-mails that many of you are interested in being cured of your MCS.

Good luck. And if you aren't ready to try this stuff this year, that's ok.

Next year, there will be an even easier way to clear allergies as these

treatments evolve.
