I had the sleeve on June 21st.

I am not cold, as I live in Las Vegas where the temps are 106. But I do

have hunger pains a lot. The most one thing that is driving me crazy is the

severe Heartburn. I have started taking Prilosec every morning and that

seems to be helping me. I also am a very picky eater and protein shakes are

just gross! I can't seem to find any that I like and even If I did, it would

take me 3 days to get that much down! I have found I do much better drinking

water if it is ICE water. I will drink a lot as long as there is ice in it.

I have just started eating things like mashed potatoes, chicken and tuna salad

and refried beans. I so look forward to being able to eat what my family

eats. I am having issues with my incisions not healing and getting

infected and I guess that is something that with time will heal. I am on my

16th day and I have lost 23.7 pounds since pre-surgery prep. I see it in my

ring finger as my wedding ring is loose and no longer cutting into my skin.

My friends say they see it in my face. I plan to take measurements

tonight. I did take measurements the night before my surgery so I do have

something to compare to.

On day 10, I started at the gym. I am only walking the treadmill 2 miles per

hour for 20 – 25 minutes but it is at least something.. The gym will not let

me do anything more than that until my incisions are healed as I keep pulling

them open by doing too much. I look forward to increasing what I am doing at

the gym and moving to the bike and other equipment.
