Guest guest
This is Dawn in Georgia - I recieved RNY from Dr. Aceves back at the end of June 2007 and when I returned from my trip to find my brand new home burned to the ground so many of you stepped up and helped me. I had not visited the group in a long while since I am not really a bandster but I wanted to give an update. I am just over 6 months out and I am down 85 pounds. I started at 302 and now am 217. I have had very few complications, I don't know that I get enough protien every day but I do well with eating and so forth. I am also excited to tell you all that do to my success my mother had RNY this past Monday, she was able to get her insurance to pay for it without any big hoops to jump thru so she had it done right here at home but to be honest the care I got there in Mexicalli was so superior to what my mom just recieved. I actually put an outfit on yesturday for church that was something that one of you wonderful folks sent to me. I am down now into 14/16s from a 28 or 3X. It is so nice to purchase a tshirt that is just a size large. I have not posted a picture to this site since I was 257 pounds so I will do so shortly. I would love to hear from some of you great folks. God Bless Dawn Maxwell

Good job. We miss you, just because there are more banded folks here doesn't mean you can't come and help the newbies considering bypass. Good to hear from you again! On Jan 14, 2008 1:54 PM, Dawn <jellybean2141973@...> wrote: This is Dawn in Georgia - I recieved RNY from Dr. Aceves back at the end of June 2007 and when I returned from my trip to find my brand new home burned to the ground so many of you stepped up and helped me. Guest guest
Dawn! It is fantastic to hear from you! My family in Athens who came with me to see you in Jefferson this summer asks about you all the time! I'm so glad to have some news to pass onto them! Great job on the weightloss. I know you must feel like a new person! What about all your kids? Is everyone doing well? And the house? What is the news on that? Please don't stay away from the board so long. Each of us wants to know how you and your family are doing. Keep us posted!] Jenni Currie Mobile, AlabamaDawn <jellybean2141973@...> wrote: This is Dawn in Georgia - I recieved RNY from Dr. Aceves back at the end of June 2007 and when I returned from my trip to find my brand new home burned to the ground so many of you stepped up and helped me. Guest guest
Thank you so much for my friends here on the board replying to me and caring so much. As for the house, we chose not to rebuild and are simply going to live in the smaller home. We have refurbished it with new carpet and so forth. We had a wonderful Christmas here in the same home we had celebrated Christmas for 5 years. My kids are all doing well. They are all growing up so darn fast....My girls are both teenagers and OMG....They are wonderful encouragement thou. The one daughter went with me to Mexicalli and she keeps and eye on me and yells at me if she thinks I am doing wrong. The other daughter does not know that I had the surgery. But they are great with the three of us using the treadmill and having the accountablity to one another for excersizing. My husband loves my weight losss and honestly can't keep his hands off of me which is great I guess, if only I could find my sex drive again ( lol ) The closes that yall sent to me is still being used. I am so appreciative of everything yall have done for me. I will keep up with the group more I promise. You all have such a place in my heart.
