HA~  Suz- while I fully agree with this statement I do not agree with Oprah on WLS.  She's very anti-WLS and she's fat.  Very fat.  She's been thin, now she's back to fat.  I really wish she would be a little more open minded.  However, I fully agree with this statement.  What works for one does not work for another.  We ALL have to find what works for us.

Me?  I can eat sugar and it doesn't do a thing to me.  Most have sugar issues, eat a little and crave a lot.  For me my trigger food is anything with flour.  I live in Mexico.  Do you know how good REAL tortillas are?  But, I avoid them.  They have flour.  Eat a little and crave a lot!  Find your trigger food and avoid it.  Sugar and flour are the two big ones.  For most of us, it's sugar.  For many of us it is all or none.  For me, none.  No flour for me.  Life without a trigger food is good.  We can do this.

Hi Everyone,

I CAN NOT take credit for what this says, but it sure pertains to weight loss too.

" Don't waste your time in the race looking back to see what the other guy is doing. It's not about the other guy. It's about what can you do. You just need to run that race as hard as you can. You need to give it everything you've got, all the time, for yourself. " — Oprah

This is what I have always said. This is ALL about you and NO one else. Never allow anyone to discourage you or bully you. We are hard enough on ourselves so do this for YOU and NO one else.

Hugs,

Suzanne

Hi Bipley,

Oh I agree with you Oprah needs to be a LOT more open minded when it comes to WLS. How about we have a meeting with her and set her straight? I am open for it if you are.

I think you are dead on about the trigger foods. I am about the same as you. It is the flour that gets me. So I stay as far away from it as I can too. I don't eat much sugar either, but I know that wasn't my problem.

Hugs,

Suzanne
